Cornwallis sits at the end of a charming row of former mariners cottages, tucked away on a quiet cobbled street, just a stone's throw from the bustling quayside. Peacefully positioned yet wonderfully central, it's the perfect base from which to wander, explore and soak up the magic of Appledore.
Located in the heart of this traditional fishing village, just a mile and a half from the sandy beaches of Westwood Ho!, Cornwallis enjoys breathtaking panoramic views across the roof tops to the estuary, Instow and sea beyond.

A large, open plan kitchen creates a wonderful entertaining space
Floored in slate with a range of rustic painted wooden cabinets and a retro style dining table seating 6, this well equipped kitchen, with all the modern conveniences, is perfect for leisurely brunches and cosy suppers. To the far end, relaxed seating gathers around a glowing fire, creating a wonderful warm, social space, this is the heart of the home, made for sharing food, stories and unhurried time together.

To the front of the cottage, you'll find a cosy sitting room with deep moody green walls and soft linen furnishings, together with a fire creating a cocoon of comfort.

The perfect place for you to relax of an evening or when the weather turns, choose a book from the shelves, perhaps a game of backgammon or simply unwind with a good film.

On the first floor, a large bright south facing king enjoys views out of a near floor to ceiling wooden sash window towards the estuary. Painted wooden floors, fluffy rugs and a contemporary gas fire in the chimney breast, all add to the serenity of this room.
Looking over the garden to the back is a lovely twin bedroom, perfect for kids or adults. This can be made for you into a super king on request.

Stairs leading from the middle of the landing take you up and straight into a stunning vaulted super king suite, with wonderful far reaching panoramic views across the estuary, Instow and sea beyond.
The perfect suite to happily while away a morning with a good book, watching the scenery change with the ebb and flow of the tide.

Pretty little sunny walled garden
Double doors from the kitchen lead you out to a beautiful enclosed sunny walled garden, partly slate paved, grassed and decked and adorned with festoon lighting. Here you'll find an inviting outdoor seating area and table for Al Fresco dining. Relax in the early morning sun with a brew and fresh croissant, cook up a tasty BBQ feast or settle in with a wood fired pizza from The flame factory. Unwind after a day of exploring.
To the front of the house a small sunny terrace, with cafe style seating offers a different aspect, a spot to watch the world go by.
